Portanto, \u00e9 fundamental que sejam respeitadas as escolhas que derivarem da manifesta\u00e7\u00e3o da soberania popular\u201d, disse o presidente do STF.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Em sua fala, Fachin demonstrou preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o com a estabilidade do pa\u00eds ap\u00f3s a vota\u00e7\u00e3o, independentemente do resultado.<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cO Brasil precisa de paz e tranquilidade para que, a partir de amanh\u00e3, possa enfrentar os diversos desafios que demandam a presen\u00e7a do Estado\u201d, afirmou.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Por esse motivo, o respeito ao resultado \u201c\u00e9 importante, \u00e9 relevante e necess\u00e1rio\u201d, acrescentou Fachin. <a href=\"https:\/\/agenciabrasil.ebc.com.br\/justica\/noticia\/2026-10\/democracia-exige-que-perdedor-respeite-regras-do-jogo-diz-fachin\" target=\"_blank\">Nesta semana, o ministro j\u00e1 havia ressaltado que a democracia depende da \u201clealdade \u00e0s regras do jogo, inclusive por parte de quem perde\u201d.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>No per\u00edodo que antecedeu o segundo turno, Fachin atuou em defesa das institui\u00e7\u00f5es e do respeito \u00e0 vontade soberana expressa nas urnas, em meio \u00e0s discuss\u00f5es sobre a atua\u00e7\u00e3o do STF no processo eleitoral.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Antes do primeiro turno, o Supremo passou a enfrentar uma crise institucional sem precedentes, marcada por embates e acusa\u00e7\u00f5es p\u00fablicas entre ministros. A crise tamb\u00e9m entrou na pauta das campanhas eleitorais.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/agenciabrasil.ebc.com.br\/politica\/noticia\/2026-10\/cerca-de-158-milhoes-de-eleitores-vao-as-urnas-em-todo-o-pais\" target=\"_blank\">Neste domingo (25), mais de 158,7 milh\u00f5es de eleitores est\u00e3o aptos a votar para presidente da Rep\u00fablica no segundo turno<\/a>.
